At ABN AMRO, you can choose between two types of internships:
Both internships offer freedom and responsibility, giving you the chance to show what you can do. We expect a proactive attitude and provide excellent guidance so you can get the most out of your experience.
You will not be on your own during your internship. Through Club ABN AMRO Interns (CASt), you get the chance to meet other interns and discover more about the bank. CASt organises a mix of formal and informal events to make your time at ABN AMRO even more enjoyable and enriching. You can join sports activities, inspiring sessions where you meet professionals from across the bank, and workshops that help you level up your skills. This way, you not only build your network, but also grow personally and professionally beyond your internship assignment.
Want to get even more out of your internship? You can also become part of the CASt board. Together with other interns, you will organise activities and help shape the future of CASt. It is a great opportunity to bring your ideas to life and show your leadership skills.
Are you currently studying and looking for a challenging internship? Then we would love to hear from you! Whether you are enrolled in a vocational programme, college or university at bachelor’s or master’s level, you are welcome to apply. We are looking for students who take initiative, are eager to learn and bring fresh ideas to the table.
You will receive an internship allowance of €750 per month based on a 36-hour working week. To qualify, you must be enrolled at an educational institution and live in the Netherlands during your internship.
Een stage is een tijdelijke leerervaring, speciaal voor mbo-, hbo- en wo-studenten. Hierin doe je werkervaring op en ontwikkel je jezelf binnen een specifiek vakgebied. Een traineeship is een intensief programma voor recent afgestudeerden. Tijdens dit programma van 18 tot 24 maanden word je opgeleid tot specialist of toekomstig leider binnen de bank. Tijdens jouw stage bij ABN AMRO wordt je ontwikkeling en prestatie beoordeeld door jouw stagebegeleider. Samen stel je doelen op en werk je aan jouw leerdoelen. Regelmatige feedbackmomenten helpen je om te groeien en inzicht te krijgen in jouw voortgang. Aan het einde van de stage vindt een evaluatie plaats waarin jouw prestaties en ontwikkeling worden besproken. Zo zorgen we ervoor dat je het maximale uit jouw stage haalt!
Ja, je kunt bij ABN AMRO op meerdere stagevacatures tegelijk solliciteren. We raden je wel aan om jouw sollicitaties goed af te stemmen op de rollen die het beste bij jouw interesses en vaardigheden passen. Zo vergroot je de kans op een stageplek die perfect aansluit bij jouw ambities!
Gemiddeld ontvang je binnen 5 tot 10 werkdagen een reactie op jouw sollicitatie bij ABN AMRO. We doen ons best om je zo snel mogelijk duidelijkheid te geven over de vervolgstappen. Mocht het langer duren, dan houden we je uiteraard op de hoogte!

Op kantoor is de dresscode informeel, maar bij klantgesprekken en bepaalde afdelingen verwachten we een formele uitstraling.
Je zult niet de eerste zijn die na een geslaagde stage of afstudeeropdracht je eerste baan bij ABN AMRO vindt. Maar hoe krijg je die baan? Daarvoor ligt de verantwoordelijkheid vooral bij jezelf. Praat met je stagebegeleider over je toekomstplannen, ga op de koffie bij een collega van die aansprekende afdeling of neem deel aan de (digitale) evenementen van Club ABN AMRO Stagiairs. Binnen je stage krijg je volop kansen om te ontdekken wat bij je past (binnen en buiten je eigen team) en om je netwerk binnen de bank uit te breiden.
Het aantal uren dat je besteedt aan je dagelijkse werkzaamheden en aan je scriptie of onderzoek, stem je af met je manager. Zo zorgen we samen voor een goede balans tussen praktijkervaring en het afronden van je studieopdracht. We houden rekening met jouw studie-eisen en persoonlijke doelen, zodat je het maximale uit je stage haalt.
